FESTIVAL
ILE DE LA HARPE
The Ile de La Harpe Festival evokes the great cultural revolutions that have marked Europe and Switzerland: those that preceded us by shaping our imagination, and those of today.
After evoking the romantic, surrealist and pop revolutions, the festival opens a new cycle: "Art and the living form", a revolution of artists committed to a reconnection with natural elements and a celebration of the living forms.

In 2025, the Earth will be honored, following water in 2024.

The universal theme of the Earth is more relevant today than ever in literature, visual arts, and theater. Issues related to climate, land resources, the survival of species and forests, and migration flows are just a few of the themes that art and collective consciousness have embraced.
To scientific findings, the artist brings his perspective; a sensitive and engaged view of the world and the power to act as a catalyst for change.
Nature, for its part, appears as a door to the sacred that has become privileged. More than ever, in a society in crisis, our need to reconnect with ourselves, our environment and the world is expressed. Art thus rediscovers one of its primary functions: making us aware of our humanity and our deep connection to Nature.

Artistic exhibition, conferences, theater, literary cruises, literary workshops, music and dance will evoke this threatened symbol of life which has nourished artistic expression for centuries.

The festival, which also aims to highlight artists and young talents residing in Switzerland, as well as European guests, is designed in a participatory mode: it is open to the collaboration of all and nourished by debate from the public, from the educational world and guest artists.
